A HELPING HAND FOR THE OOT

Thanks to the generosity of numerous donors, the OOT is able to continue its mission.

Your donation, or the adoption of an owl, contributes directly to the monitoring of populations of migrating birds in Québec and to the advancement of ornithology. Each donor is also playing an integral part in the establishment of a facility that allows the exchange of ideas and concepts concerning migratory boreal nesting species, and for the training of ornithologists.

Despite more than a decade of considerable effort, the scientific value of the OOT’s work and the popularity of the OOT with bird watchers, nothing guarantees its perenniality. Each year, certain of the OOT’s activities are unfortunately compromised due to a lack of funding. The contribution made by the Friends of the OOT encourage both our staff (the observers in the field) and volunteers (the management, the scientific committee and volunteer fieldworkers) in their goal of providing Québec with a rigorous, well structured and permanent bird observatory.
